Introduction

This communication plan outlines the communication strategies and channels to be utilized by the IoTitude team in WimmaLAB. It aims to ensure effective and efficient communication among team members, stakeholders, and external parties involved in the project.

Stakeholders

  1. WimmaLAB team members
  2. Affiliated teams and individuals
  3. Pengwin Media (managing LinkedIn and Instagram pages for WimmaLAB)
  4. Coaches and mentors
  5. Stakeholder representatives
  6. External stakeholders

General Communications Channels

  • Discord: The primary communication platform for team members within WimmaLAB and affiliates.
  • LinkedIn: Individually active profiles on LinkedIn for professional networking and updates.
  • Instagram: Handled by Pengwin Media to maintain WimmaLAB's presence and share project highlights.

Written Communication Models

  • Discord channels organized by topics or projects for discussions and information sharing.
  • LinkedIn posts and updates to showcase team achievements, project progress, and relevant industry news.

Internal Communications

  • Daily Scrum: Held every morning at 8:45 to discuss individual progress, challenges, and plans for the day.
  • Team Leader Scrum: Following the daily Scrum, team leaders meet to align and coordinate their respective teams' activities.
  • Open Communication Lines: Due to working in the same building, team members can easily approach each other for face-to-face discussions and problem-solving.

Communications with Coaches

  • Scheduled meetings with coaches and mentors for guidance, feedback, and assistance.
  • Discord or email for ad-hoc questions and clarifications.

Communications with Stakeholder Representatives

  • Regular meetings with stakeholder representatives to update them on project progress and address any concerns or queries.
  • Communication primarily through Discord or agreed-upon channels.

Communications with External Stakeholders

  • Pengwin Media: Regular coordination with Pengwin Media to provide content and updates for LinkedIn and Instagram pages.
  • Meetings and discussions with external stakeholders as required, either in person or through agreed-upon communication channels.

Monitoring and Evaluation of Communications

  • Regular review of communication effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Feedback from stakeholders, team members, and coaches to identify areas for improvement.
  • Iterative adjustments to the communication plan based on the evolving needs of the project.
