22.05 Monday

First, we had a meeting with Narsu to discuss our product, Career Scouter. This allowed us to align our understanding and goals for the project. As the Team Leader, Yago delegated assignments among team members. So far, we know that Menom is responsible for taking care of WIMMA Lab pages and providing uplifting content. Marika and Salla are handling the Open doors website, marketing, social media posts, and overall UI/UX for Pengwin, as well as assisting other teams when needed. Lauri and Ankita are primarily focusing on the development of Career Scouter, while Yago is overseeing the Power BI/Power Automate aspects and also taking care of the OPF page/documentation.

23.05 Tuesday

We started the day with an important self-reflection session, where we delved into the reasons and purposes behind our work at WIMMA Lab. This allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the significance and impact of our projects. A significant portion of the day was dedicated to familiarizing ourselves with the technologies that will be used in our projects. We had the pleasure of hosting Sara Norja from Combitech Finland. Sara shared further insights on UX Designing, emphasizing the importance of understanding user needs and the role of visual elements in enhancing their overall experience. Additionally, we created a social media post about Sara's visit. This post aimed to highlight the valuable knowledge and experiences shared by our guest, engaging our audience and promoting awareness of our activities.

24.05 Wednesday

During the day, we had an exciting activity planned - taking pictures of all WIMMA Lab members as well as team pictures. Unfortunately, towards the end of the day, we discovered that our camera had malfunctioned, resulting in the loss of all the captured images. We will reschedule this activity for another day in the future. Despite the setback, we had the pleasure of hosting Joonas Varis and Arttu Sippola from Valu Digital as guest speakers. They provided us with valuable insights into Git usage and its practicality in software development. We explored the fundamental functions of Git, with a particular focus on merging and the role of automation in streamlining the process.

Throughout the day, we dedicated our efforts to working on assignments related to Career Scouter, Pengwin OPF pages, marketing, and general designs for the upcoming Open Doors Day. In addition to our project work, we had the pleasure of hosting Sami Lindgren, a Test Automation Engineer at Etteplan. Sami is an esteemed WIMMA Lab alumni. During his visit, Sami shared his knowledge and insights with us. Sami provided valuable guidance on the path to becoming a testing professional. He shed light on the distinction between automation and test automation, emphasizing the importance of adapting testing methodologies based on project requirements. Sami also stressed the significance of defect identification and the need for meticulous attention to detail to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.

26.05 Friday

We spent some time working on assignments related to Career Scouter, Pengwin OPF pages, marketing, and general designs for the upcoming Open Doors Day. This ensured progress and continued development of our projects. In addition to our ongoing assignments, we had an important session where we were introduced to PaloAlto Prisma DevSecOps tools to all the teams. This introduction aimed to familiarize everyone with these tools and their functionalities, emphasizing the significance of integrating security practices within the development and operations process. The day provided an opportunity for both project work and the enhancement of our understanding and utilization of essential tools for ensuring secure and efficient software development.
